perform service light on
I own a 99 Grand cherokee limited. im just curious on what the "perform service" on the display means. any suggestions?

The "Perform Service" message turns on every 3000 miles by default for oil change, tire rotation, etc. etc. as far as how to get it to go away just start your car and press and hold the "SET" button on the information center for about 10 sec. and it will reset the 3000 mile counter. Also in the owners manual it tells you how to change the time in between service alarms.
