New time's and Acouple races.

Ok well I got the bottle refilled thursday afternoon. and friday me and some friend decided to head up to the track. well it was pretty damn humid and I expected some better time's being firmiliar with spraying now.

so my 1st run was a 14.5 @ 96mph with a 2.4 60' shitty I know. I was just happy I got my mph up.

well my 2nd run was a 14.300 @ 97mph with a 2.2 60'. better but I was expecting better.

third and final run I launched too high and got a 2.4 60' and ran another 14.5 but at 99mph!!! Im thinkin I deff need new tire's. they are just gettin worn out and arent grabbin like they used to. and my trap speed's are getting higher and higher so im happy with that.

Ok so for some street racing. I raced 3 car's this weekend.

1st race of the weekend was against my friend with the gsr del sol. I know I can pull him down low but his car is pretty damn impressive up top so I wanted to race from a 3rd gear roll. He agreed so we went and hit the highway.

A list of his mods are as follow's.
Gsr swap
Intake, Header, exhuast, skunk 2 intake manifold, vtec controller.

everyone knows my mods so..

Ok so we got on the highway...too much traffic, it was freakin 3 in the morning and there was cars all around. so we got off and turned around got on a diff part of the same highway this time we were clear, he wanted to go from a 2nd gear roll so I shook my head and we were off pretty even in 2nd nitrous hit hard and I started pullin alittle hit 3rd and I pulled even more put it in 4th and got in it alittle then shut it down I was about 3 car's ahead give or take.

Ok so he pulls up and gives me a thumbs up and I put up 3 fingers to go from a 3rd gear roll and he agree's so were off again I pull about half a car in 3rd and throw it in 4th and pull another 2 car's and then shut it down.

Sat comes along and we all decide to go cruising after about 1 lap on the strip I run into a new r32 GTI or golf whatever the hell it is. I pull up next to him and I really want to see how I do against one they are supposed to be pretty beast up top so im in 3rd gear and I roll past him and I give it alittle gas and the car jerks and he takes the bait comes up next to me and were off pretty even in 3rd till the end where I start to pull put it in 4th and I pull even more. then I hit the brakes due to an upcoming light that turned yellow. so at the light he says wanna go again? thinkin he's got me done since he has awd and can launch. So im like ok. so the light turns green and were off in 1st my tires squeel but not too much it was a good launch off the line were even in 1st I throw it in 2nd the tires spin alittle and when they grab I instantly pull half a car and keep gaining and then I shut it down. He just goes on his way and races some riced up civic to compensate for his loss to the little crx.

3rd race was a 1.8t GTI. He seemed to have exhaust, intake and a BOV nothing to special. I could have taken him without nitrous but I decided I was gonna embarass him infront of his girl. so we go from about a 2nd gear roll and I just pull car's on him in 2nd put it in 3rd and just let off and coast he know's he doesent stand a chance and just passes me normally and goes about his business.

Another thing I found a video of me racing an srt4 on a local forum it's a nice little video but it was a bad race for me both times the 2nd time I would have pulled on him but slowed down due to an upcoming intersection where I couldent see what kind of cars were sitting there. it's on www.racersden.net in the video section, I believe you have to join to get access to video's but it take's seconds. ill see if i can copy and paste the link or something. even tho I technically lost both time's I think you guys would enjoy it.

Good times. Yeah i get shitty 60' times too with my 205/65/15's...gay ass tires.. i raced once and got a 15.1 @ 91mph with a 2.2 60'. But then once i got a 15.1 @ 93mph with a 2.4 60'. I was pissed, that would have been my 14.90 run right there. Its alright, 275/40/17's are on their way... Along with a good bit of other goodies... Low 14's here i come!

Civic, how low of tire pressure are you using? ... and what size tire?

Re: New time's and Acouple races.

i thought he brought his pressure down to the upper teens at one point on street tires.

that sounds like one heck of a night. i need to come out where you guys live. here in florida, there is nothing going on with the car scene.

Re: New time's and Acouple races.

Nice kills. Just a question, do you ever lose? Or do you just only post your wins?

My honda may have less displacement than your coke bottle, but I'll race your coke bottle for $1000. Who says there's no replacement for displacement?

Re: New time's and Acouple races.

The tires are 185/65/15's I think and I ran them at 15psi.

I basically alway's win, I have posted losses before. Not many but I have lost.

Re: New time's and Acouple races.

185/65-15s? It looks like you have gs-r fat fives on there. The stock size is 195/55-15. The off size is probably affecting your gearing and costing you a tenth or two.

wow that guy in the R32 GTI must not know how to take off. if a AWD is driven right, it can take me by around 2-3 cars right off the line. and i can out launch type R's by half a cars lenght. so you being even with a AWD off the line means he must've bogged off the line big time. if you heard a chirp or a screech. that means he chirp all 4 wheels then bogged then fell on its face in the power band then had to build it back up.

but anyways a kill is still a kill soooooo good kills.

Re: New time's and Acouple races.

he didnt bog, we both didnt really LAUNCH off the line it was like we both rolled forward then got on it in 1st, we stayed even in 1st threw it in 2nd and when my tires stopped spinning I just jumped ahead pretty easily. Even then I beat him from a roll. Kind of a disapointment everyone thought they would be more of a beast when they heard about it but they arent too impressive at the track or 1/4mile racing.

No shit...

Nice kills. I can't believe the GTI didn't leave you off the line. Oh well, it wouldn't have mattered. That guy in the 1.8 probably didn't say anything to his girl the whole way home.lol Congrats.
