and a nissan goes down.

well, the other day my friend was over in his 91 I think 240, single cam engine. he has injen intake and like halway exhaust system. its a 5 speed, and I saw him race a 95 with I/E/pullies, and he pulled at first, probably just better at launching the car, and then the newer dual cam equipped 240 ended up pulling about 1 car at the end of fourth. so I know I can beat that guy as well.

anyways he was about to leave and I said we should race and he said OK, so we went off to the back road, its probably a bit longer than 3/4 a mile. anyways, we go down the road once normal just checking for the fuzz hiding out, and its all clear so we line up going bakc the other eway, and its dark out so we cant really see each other to good, and out windows are halfway down and both our cars are kinda loud so we dont hear each other to well either. now the way we decided to start is he was going to count one-two-three-go, and he would count as well with his fingers and point for go. well, beeing as I couldnt watch him and the tach I couldnt rev it and launch well (barely could see hi8m anyways, could count his hand movements but not how many fingers), and seeing as I couldnt hear hear him count and listen to the revs to try and hold the right revs to launch, I f'd up all 3, got one that was "decent" but still sucked, first one I bogged it bad, and the third I spun ALL through first into 2nd. as we took of the first time, I muist have went on 3 though instead of go cuz I got the jump but bogged on the launch so didnt get a big head start and he must have took off as he saw me leave, but I pulled on him BAD, I hit 4th gear and didnt even go further than about 90-95(remember im shifting at 6k all this time too) and must have had about like 9 cars, 2nd time was when I got a decent launch so he pulled ahead for a split second and then I started pulling and must have had like 6-7 cars when I shit it down. 3rd time I spun al the way through 1st but the tires must be pretty grippy cuz even wiht thsat I held the lead of the lien all the way to the end ands had porbably a good 9 cars again but I tok iyt deper into 4th this time, funny thing is after that I slowed down and he flew by and then at the end of the road threw on his flasheres, I pulled up next to him and told him to turn off his damn flashers cuz he got smoked, and he told me wit was actually just to stop me from getting close and I said ok and backed back up ahd he lit em up and did a few nice donuts at the intersection and left 4 perfect rubber circles in the road. I kinda miss RWD when I se that sorta thing.

I like that I can smoke cars that I used to think were pretty quick but it just uisnt as fun when its not even close.

Re: and a nissan goes down.

yeah, I am thinking of getting the 2nd (or 3rd ,maybe if they change the designation when the KA24E went to the KA24DE???) 95+ 240, and boost it or somehting, but I am pretty sure I am just gonna get another 3rd gen teg, or a 6th gen civic coupe and swap in a B series,m got a B18 in the driveway right now for just that purpose, otr to be built up without leaving the teg on blocks while I build up what it came with.
