i am in desperate need of help

For the last month i have been having trouble with me 77 280z shutting off on me while im driving. I took it to a zcar specialty shop, they told me it was the distibuter and put one in, that faild. Is anyone having or had this type of trouble with their z. please help

im not sure if the 77 had a ignition module.. but thats the most typical cause of your problem... its a lil black plastic box attached to your distributer.. if they replaced the distributer they prolly didnt replace the ignition module... but you might want to have that checked out...

the two main items to check are ignision spark and fuel pressure. when the car stals pull the coil wire from the disturibetor and hold approx 1/4 inch from grounded surface ck for spark while turning over the engine.
