I bought a 93 civic hatchback DX recently from some shady guy. The care was pretty ghetto all around the body and little things all over. Anyway, there was no head unit included, because the car was cheap. So I bought a new head unit today and I tried to install it, but the original stock wiring harness that was in the car was cut off and spliced to the previous owner's cd player which he took out. So I need to know what the color wires are for what in the car, so I can try to figure out what to connect them to on the wires on my head unit. ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

People who cut off the factory harness are stupid. I had that happen, and it was a pain in the ass to wire my radio to it. What I ended up doing was just going to a junkyard and getting the wire harness from any honda before they changed it (it's a smaller plug on new hondas) and connect that to the wires that are in your dash and then get one of those adapters that you connect to your new head unit.
If the junk yard harness is close to the year, the wires are the same colors, so it's just a matter of green wire connects to green wire. |
