your opinion please

my 2k is in the shop right now for the with the surging at about 2200 rpm. i took it in about 2 months ago for the same problem along with the gas guage having to be replaced. here's a quote from the dealer from then:

Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
scanned pcm, no codes stored. fuel pressure ok. road tested, monitored fuel trim and pressure, ok. no misfire data. checked coil towers for corrosion, ok. checked connections, ok. only felt surging uphill at about 2k rpm. this is normal torque converter operation and cannot be changed. customer can manually downshift to 3. installed latest pcm software.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

what's funny is that it seemed that the problem was not as prominent after the software update. today, the service rep tells me this:
Quote:

this seems to be a prominent problem with the malibus and gm is pursuing the fix of flushing the injectors, intake and replacing the mass airflow sensor. they are implementing a tsb with this.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok, my extended warranty won't cover the flush because it's considered "normal maintenence" but will cover the mass airflow sensor. the flush is $121 plus tax.

my question is, i paid 80 bucks 2 months ago for them to tell me that there was nothing wrong. now they want 121 plus tax for something that is obviously wrong. let's put it this way, i think they owe me 80 dollars. and is this "flush" normal maintenence?

what do you guys think?

anybody????

i can't believe no one has responded to this. this tsb is just a week old and i know it's a common problem.

well, get ready if this occurs with your car because the total charge for the injection flush and the maf was about 510 bucks.

good luck.
