LS Shortblock for $500?
A shop owner just offered me an LS Shortblock for $500. Is it worth the price?
I'll have to go rent storage space at the very least so it's a commitment, and I obviously don't want to get ripped off. What do they normally run for?

Re: LS Shortblock for $500?
Totally NOT worth it. I picked up a LS longblock and tranny for $250. Wanna buy it?

The shipping would probably be expensive, this guy is in town.
When you say longblock, are you talking head too? The LS is non-vtec DOHC right? It's tempting for $250. Check the shipping rates to Oregon and get back to me. I won't be able to purchase it for a few months though because I'm too busy with school right now, but if you still have it around October I'd definitely be interested.
