I've got a 350 4 door and am trying to figure out which parts (interior, body, engine) would be interchangable between it and the 442 or other models(S, Supreme) of that or other years. I've figured a few out, but was wondering if there is a guide online or if anyone has any helpful info. I'm trying to part this thing out and am quite the amateur so any info is helpful. thanks

Re: Similarities between 442 and 350 in a 72 Cutlass?
Engine wise you can use the crank and connecting rods out of the 442 (big block) and install them into your 350 (small block) to make a 350 "stroker" but thats about all you can use from the 442bb on your 350sb, with the exception of some emmision stuff, the distributior, water pump, power steering pump, ect. As for the body and interior parts...well if they're both 1972 cutlass's then all body/interior parts should bolt right on.
By no means am I a chevy "expert"... so this info is to the best of my knowledge. PS: Don't feel bad about not getting many replies Ive posted twice since I joined and not 1 reply...as if no one knows the color of the stock 305 block that came in the 1984's. I guess Im just used to MX6.com where you get a very imfortive reply within 30min. Ive been waiting days for a reply here. Oh well Im still glad I found a cutlass fourm |

Almost all 71-72 442 interior and body parts should fit on your cutlass with the except of the obvious 2 door to 4 door stuff. (I'm not sure about the trunk lid.) Even a Ram-Air hood (71-72)
