In Progress: Dodge D-50

Ok guys I slapped some paint on my little Dodge mini-truck. Not sure how I'm going to do this one, I'm leaning towards a lowrider. Anyway here are the first pictures.

The paint is Wet n' Wild nail polish, the name of the colour is unknown as it wasn't labelled on the bottle. I would call it Violet Pearl or something like that. It was just some left over crap that my fiance was going to throw out and I thought it looked neat.

Let me know what you think of it.

Mike

Nice color. I'd definately go for a low rider. Did you get that shine just from the nail polish, or is that cleared too? I never was able to get a shine from just airbrushed nailpolish and always had to clear coat it. Very nice lookin paint either way.

Re: In Progress: Dodge D-50

I think the tail gate might look better if you take separate peices andrap the verticle peices around the top and bottom horozontal peices...so it looks peiced.

I like the lowrider and all. But the net just doesnt mesh with the lowrider thing.

I never thought of using nail polish... Well I guess im gonna go pinch some of my sisters and test it out!

One time I built my Maisto 1:18 SLK into an SLK Turbo using nothing but, 2 beads, Nail Polish, and glue. Never thought of trying to spray it, I'll have to try it soon, my mom and sister love to paint their nails so theirs like a million color in the bathroom.
