Question aem v2 air intake, does it need by pass valve?

hello guys.. i'm new in everything right now. just bought the car and just joined this website.. but my questiong is do i really need by pass valve for my aem v2 intake i just bought?
whould it make any difference if i do.?
somebody give me some good answer. thanks..

The V2 does not have a space to put a bypass valve, but if you insist on having one, you could cut the smaller portion of the intake and put one in. It seems like it would hurt it, but it's only pipe. I don't think you need one though.

you only need one on raining season when your afriad of your intake sucking up water....

You only need a bypass if you plan on being stupid. Don't drive in flood conditions or blow through deep puddles and you'll be fine. But, as mentioned above, it's not an option with this intake...

You will only hydrolock if the filter is submerged. A little rain wont hurt. Submerging your car is, in general, is a bad idea.

AEM V2 Intake Air Induction Systems utilize a dual chamber to create multiple frequency sound waves. The installation of the AEM Bypass Valve would disrupt the tuning of these systems. Therefore the bypass valve should not be used.
