getting motor to run out of car 93 3.8L

Big problem,should have used older type engine with less electronics, but, motor ran excellent and was cheap. Using motor for airboat conversion. Took out all wiring harness and most components hooked to it. mounted and all hooked up. no obd1 codes from computer .Finally got to turn over with starter, from key switch.but fuel pump wouldn't kick in at key on. fuel pump works when tested. shutoff switch bypassed. No signal coming out of relay module. Then starter stopped turning over from key. I may try substituting new relay module. may have got damaged in crash or wet. any ideas?
