Question 88 Honda civic won't consistantly start when warm

My Honda runs well but every other day or so it won't start. Turns over but not starting. Usually happens when it's warm outside or if I had just shut it off. I used to be able to wait five minutes and then start it but now it takes much longer before it starts. I have a friend who has an 88 Accord and is having similar problems. Any ideas?

i need to take a pic of a main relay and what 4 connections need to be resoldered when you take them apart.... ive fixed about 50 main relays for the cost of solder and about 5 minutes worth of work each.... otherwise thier about 70 or 80 bucks at the dealer
