smoking tail pipe

When i start my car it smokes real bad and when i rev it a little bit it does a lot to. Just driving it smokes but not as bad. Does any body know what it could be? It just started doing it. I changed the oil about 3 days ago. If you put your hand in the smoke it smells like gas.

Re: smoking tail pipe

i think your probably burning oil or soemthing or your cats fuck over or the possibility that yoru gas is old or to low of a octance booster. so i recommend use octance boost and engine cleaners for the feul injection and seals and stuff

Re: smoking tail pipe

If it smokes real bad when you first start it and runs alittle wierd then its your headgasket. I know this from experience. But I'm sure you would have smelled the coolant.

a valve may be stuck or something since it was sitting

take out the spark plug wires one by one and see if it the idle changes, if it doesnt for one of them then you either have a stuck valve, broke valve, or the spark plug is bad or the wire

hope that made sence. check that and get back

Re: smoking tail pipe

Chances are its your valve seals. I had the exact same symptoms and my compression was 195 psi accross all 4 cylinders. I replaced my valve seals and the smoking stopped.
