2 15" Thunder 8000s -or- 1 12" Alpine Type-X

Im debating what I want to do since Im starting all over now. Im wondering if the one Alpine on the 1501D amp would be better than the 2 Thunder 8000s. I dont think SPL will be as good since its one sub and only a 12", but Im guessing that the SQ would be improved right away. Any thoughts on this one?

Only $280 or so on eBay as far as I know. I know the MTX 9500 is in the $500 area, and that would pound...but this Alpine is cheaper and has the same RMS. But thinking that with shipping the 8000s are only $290, and thats for 2...and the Type-X will be $310 shipped...

Go with an IDmax if you are looking for only quality. Go with a http://www.edesignaudio.com/a.htm for great quality and good SPL.

I kind of want to keep it in the Alpine family...plus I love how that sub looks. I would go for that though...but a Dual 2 ohm wont work on my amp that I know of. Dual 4 ohms would though...since my amp is 1100x1 at 2 Ohms.
