New member - 92 VR4 - need tranny advise
Just picked up a pearl VR4 for $6300. The body is perfect, interior great, engine strong but 2nd gear synchro bad when shifting at high rpms, no problem at lower rpms. I didn't realize this would cost so much to fix until I joined this forum. Should I fix it at the dealer or a tranny shop?

Re: New member - 92 VR4 - need tranny advise
kormex sells individual synchros, buying them individually will save you money, but call the tranny shop that will do the work, before you buy the synchros and make sure they will install it without any problems regarding warranties. Stay away from getting any work done at a dealership, they overcharge...ALOT, and half the time they don't know what they are talking about. Just find a competant mechanic you trust.
