Road Noise!
i just bought a 97' prelude and have been driving it around for a few weeks now and i can't but notice the loud road noise, i have to turn up the radio just to drain it out and its still there, its horrible on the freeway. i don't know if all preludes are like this or just mine, but is there a good way to take care of this??!? it's really annoying. im not asking for a perfectly silent ride, i know thats not going to happen, but this is louder than all other cars i've been in. i just dont want to listen to the road in my head all the time.

Re: Road Noise!
My 95 has a decent amount of road noise, but less than my old cars. As for making it more quiet, you can use stuff like dynamat, brown bread etc. It can cost a bit though, if you want a really quiet ride.

do you mean noise when you go over bumps, or noise when you're driving a certain speed on the road? cheap tires will give you a loud whining sound.

Re: Road Noise!
rear bearing on front drivers make a roaring/growling sound when they go bad. the bearing will be hot after you drive the car. my 93 had a (one) tire that made a similar sound when it was on the rear, but was ok on the front. go figure

Re: Road Noise!
buy a set of headers, a cat back exhaust, and a good set of 12"s. you won't notice the road noise at all.
