1989 GT won't start

my 1989 ford mustang gt will not start. it would stall while in a turn and now it wont start at all. the fuel pump cut-off switch (inertia switch) is a little wierd. the reset button is very loose. when i press it, it will not stay in. is this the way it is supposed to be or is it bad? also where can i get one? the car cranks over fine but will not start.

just get a new inertia switch, at a junkyard or a ford dealer, it doesn't matter too overly much as long as it's clean and it works. hell, doesn't even have to be clean.

If the inertia switch does not stay in then yes you need a new one. A ford dealer would be the best bet, cause you never know if a junkyard one is ready to go or not. But hey if u get it cheap, whatever.

I finally found the problem. thanks to all who tried to help me. it ended up being a broken ground wire next to the starter. it was broken way down underneath all the wires that go to the starter and ground. once i repaired the wire the pumped primed and i was able to start the stang no problem. i decided to start chasing wires since im an aviation electrician and figured since i changed all the parts in the fuel and ignition systems it had to be a wire somewhere. it still is a good thing i changed all those parts anyway since the gt is an 89 and had a lot of old origional parts. i learned a lot from all this so thanks to all who gave their advice. take care all.
