Lift and tires question
Hey all. I have an 04 xtra cab 4x4, and was thinking about getting a 5" suspension lift (Tuff Country) and 33x12.5's. Anyone with any thoughts on Tuff Country products and what issues I might have with a kit and tires this size?

Re: Lift and tires question
You will have to change your gear ratio in your differentials to match the increased tire circumference. Otherwise you'll loose alot of torque.

Re: Lift and tires question
I've seen a few trucks with similar lifts - I think you'd be very pleased with Tuff Country's product. Brian is right on - you'll effectively be making your final drive ratio taller. If you're really after the look and ground clearance, I'd give it a shot before making the call on new gears.
Are you looking at aftermarket rims as well? The only issue I can think of is running 12.5" wide tires on stock 7" rims. If you're planning on sticking with the stock wheels, I'd run the question by your tire pro just to make sure. Good luck! Take care, Jerry
