help diagnosing problem
i have a 90 integra with over 200k miles on it. After having the car sit out in the hot sun (temp was 100+) i drove it for about 10 minutes at an average of 80mph and when i came to a stop the car just shut off. then without trying to restart it, i pressed on the accelerator and it started up again. At the next stop it shut off again, then it stopped doing that, what could be wrong ? it usually has a rough idle, but now the tach displays a bouncing needle. do i have to replace some sensors ? i appreciate the help.

hard to say.... take a look at your ignition coil, you may have a weak or intermittent spark. you might also want to check your pcv(positive crankcase ventilation) valve and idle air control valve because of your rough idle but i doubt thats it. you can always by a new car too....

Hmm
hm, you'll need to explain a bit more..
Could be a clogged air filter, some electric loose electric connection or a thousand other things. When it stops, does the engine kinda "hesitates" before stopping or does it shut down instantaneously ? |

Re: help diagnosing problem
ya, when the engine stops it just shuts down, there's no sort of hesitation.
