NE1 Replaced Tranny in 92-93 Camry??
hey guys....just wondering how hard is it to replace an automatic tranny in the 92 camry? i know that some of the older camry series had a cradle underneath the chassis, preventing removal of the tranny...so you have to take out the engine itself to replace the tranny. but im not sure if this applied to the 92-93 series. if anyone here has any experience on the subject please reply with advice. thanks.

Never done it, but you can remove the transmission from below if you support the engine and remove the cradle first, and if you could get the car raised high enough. Apparently, this is not easy since sliding the transmission off the engine and lowering it is difficult with only small room to manouver. Two people or a transmission jack and a lift is the normal way to do this.
