ECU Backup Mode?
My 93 Integra SE 1.8L is running like garbage. According to the manual and the check engine light (which comes on permanently with no blinks when I install the jumper wire) the ECM is in backup mode. The engine runs fine when its cold but once it gets up to operating temp it chokes and sputters especially during acceleration. A mechanic friend of mine says that it sounds like a MAP or MAF sensor issue, but he has'nt worked on many Acuras. Is there a way to reset the ECU or to test the sensors. After the problem happened I installed a new hi-flow cat and new oxy sensor, so neither of those is the problem. Any input would be helpful.
