800°F Still aint enough to melt the welds of the building. Even if they did then why was there basically no intact beams or structural pieces of any kind, and some would have survied even a collapse but not a demolition. How did both buildings fall with perfect symmetry?

Those buildings (WTC) were the most incredible technological marvels of the 20th Century. They were designed to be hit with an airliner, a 707 sized plane. As you should know, the Empire State Building was struck by a B-25 bomber, so being hit with a plane was always considered for construction. The buidings were designed to hold up long enough for an evacuation. It is amazing that despite newer planes, 767, which hold more fuel, and are larger; that the buidings lasted as long as they did.

And did it ever occur to you that those large buidings were also designed to collapse onto themselves? An engineer wouldnt be able to live with himself if he designed a buiding that could collapse and kill many hundreds or thousands of people in a larger, spread out area. Those buidings were a testement to the spirt of America, and were designed to save lives, not to take them. YOu find a structural engineer, and they will tell you buiding failure is considered in design.
