My 92 lumina with a 3.1 L engine will not fire at all anymore, was able to run it for 20-40 seconds at a time, but nothing now. My mechanical friend says it is timing. So where is the timing belt and or chain and how in the heck do we get to them to adjust and or replace them?

Re: Timing Belt and or Chain Locations
Your timing chain is located in the engine. I have a 2.5 and mine is on the side with the pulley system. You have to pull the engine and take off the whole pulley system. There will be soom bolts. Remove them and you will se it. The chain might have just jumped. Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK
