would a 1000w rms amp blowout a 1000w rms sub???

if i have a sub and amp that are both 2000w max with 1000w rms and i turned the amp all the way up, would that be incredibly bad for the sub??

nvm what i said.....can someone plz tell me if a 1000w rms from an amp would be good for a 1000w sub or would it blow it out????

I have 2 300 watt (RMS) subs being powered by a 1000 watt (RMS) amp, for like the last 5 years.

1000 watts mean it can take the heat, you need to worry about quality and craftsmanship to know if it can take the pounding
