dash light not working...
I purchased a used 1996 Jetta GL a few months ago and it's been driving well despite having a few minor problems.
One such problem is that the dash light is not working properly anymore. The dimmer switch to make the dash brighter only works for the clock and odometer reading, but the rest of the panel is no longer lighting up (the speedometer, tachometer, etc.). Can anyone explain how the dash lighting works and how to fix this problem? Much thanks, Tony |

Re: dash light not working...
It sounds like the bulbs are burned out. The instrument cluster has to come out to get to them.
