bad to not have knock sensor?

is it bad or good to not have a knock sensor??

it helps to prevent engine damage, i think it retards the timming when it senses knocking, then you'll have reduced power, but save from engine damage.

I would use a higher octane gas if you have ping or knocking.

i installed a new 1 and it made so much difference in power lot more low end power noticed
