pop ribet gun

trying to pop ribet something on my chevy. can someone please tell me the proper way to use this gun. i have tried two different ones, and they both break the ribets before the head is pulled up.

drill the proper size hole, put the rivet in the gun, stick it through the hole and pull once, twice, until it snaps off

Pull slowly and hold gun straight to hole and rivet.

Trying to pop rivets/ribets in at an angle doesn't work very well.

Thanks guys for your reply. I take it that the hole has to be the exact same size as the rivet and a backing washer must be used.
