1987 Chevy Blazer s-10 Engine help

I was wondering if I need a new 2.5 engine the first 3 spark plugs are coated in alot of oil and missing. What can I do to this thing it will not pass smog. What tbi model should I have on this s-10 also I need a part # for the egr valve.

Is it coming out of the valve cover and dripping on the plugs ?

No it is in side because the top of the spark plugs are not covered in oil.

You probably have a lot of oil blowing by the rings- best way to tell is to do a compression test it will tell you EXACTLY the condition of your motor.

I agree, sounds like the rings are shot, that is the most common problem leading to oil fouled plugs, how many miles are on the engine? And also is the egr valve vaccum leaking? If not then you can clean it out and shouldn't need a new one, as for the throttle body what is it doing that you need to replace it? I just rebuilt mine, the kit cost 35 bucks plus like 5 for shipping from new york, the company was all state carburator in long island, sorry i don't have a number, unless the actual unit itself is cracked this kit will completely rebuild it, minus cleaning of the parts before re assembly and it was fairly easy, hope this helps.

can you upgrade the ecm for more proformace on the 1987 chevy s-10 blazer with the 2.5L 700-r4
