brakes on a 67 (or lackthereof)
Hey guys...im new here. But i have a problem. My brakes failed on my 67 Gmc pickup(drums all round), and when i tried bleeding the rear drums there was no pressure. Can anyone me out here?

I was thinking it would be the proportioning valve. But I am unsure of how to fix the problem.

Re: brakes on a 67 (or lackthereof)
dumb as it sounds, if the proportioning valve is suspect, locate it, on the frame, and smack the frame area with a small hammer. if the valve is sticking, this might free it up.
The other side of things, is that the shuttle valve poppet has moved over, blocking flow to the rear brakes. Both things to check out. |
