Ok, I got a 97, I was wondering, well I have seen this before and thought it looked cool. THe front blinker light is permanetley on. In that I mean that when your lights are on it is on, and when you use the blinker, it blinks off. I tried cutting wires and it did nothing but burn a fuse, and I tried hooking wires up from the side lights to the front blinker light and my whole car started blinking. So if anyone knows how to do this, please doo telll....:flash:

Well the closest I got to setting that up without replacing the bulb in the blinker ( to a dual filament) was I rerouted the clearance light by the headlight to be the indicator (it blinked) and the original blinker just stayed on the whole time. Had that running for a few months but switched back since people had a hard time seeing my indicator.
Found a post on what you're trying to do (I think) on the org. Here's the link to the how-to: http://csc.smsu.edu/~jack/max/blinkermod.html

Blinkers
Even though I have a 3rd gen and did this mod to the rear lights, hopefully this might give u an idea in what your wanting to do to the front blinkers staying on all the tyme.
As for what I did on the rear was to swap one of the brake lights in each housing (has 2bL) with the blinker. Hence my turn signals are always on and when I brake they illuminate more. My turn signals now are red instead of orange. Since the housings have 2 brake bulbs in em, from behind I still indicate that Im braking with a red light n also the orange. So this rewire n all doesn't become a hazard for other drivers not knowing that Im braking. In all just like Punabuds stated, try to route your turn clearance(light) wire towards your blinkers n the blinkers back to the side clearances. I hope this helps even though my rewire consisted on the rear instead of the front. Goodluck
