Question Should I Get Rid Of Mine?

I just purchased a 94'Honda Passport LX 4x4 V-6 from a local Honda dealership yesterday.I've seen alot of complaining about them.Should I go and get back the $5,300.00/cash that I paided for it?

I'am a new member my name is Clint. And it's nice to meet you all.

It should run you all right as long as you take good care of it...and I do mean GOOD care of it. The engines in these vehicles cannot handle abuse. Its absolutely imperative that you change your oil at or before the specified intervals..that goes for any car, but especially these ones. Another thing I have found is do NOT let these things over heat. If you ever see the temp. gauge nearing the red, pull over immediately even if its a really short distance home..or wherever you're going because the head gaskets blow easily on these vehicles. Other than that, for an SUV, they have really good handling and acceleration...very driveable.

P.S. You probably already know this, but the Passports have Isuzu engines in them and are pretty much the exact same thing as the Isuzu Rodeo...that being said, the Isuzu Rodeo forum on this site has much more activity than this one and you can also go there for advice if needed.

Re: Should I Get Rid Of Mine?

yeah really the passport gets abad rap just because its not a honda. mrprogrock is absolutely right especially about the oil. These suckers burn oil and there isn't anything you can do about it other than check it every 1000 miles and change the oil every 3 or else before you know it you will be out and need a motor.
