i'd move this to the car comparisons forum but it's like throwing 100lbs of raw meat into the middle a lions den. haha.
is the lude manual? how bout the GT? from a roll, you could very well take an older stock GT, the one with the 5.0 215hp V8. they're not that fast at all. you wo'nt kill it but it's certainly possible to cross the finish line first.

yeah from a stop the lude might lose but roll you might win
id still bet on the lude though the stock 5.0s weren't that fast anyways

i love both cars but my money is on the 5.0, it has more tq, however from a roll the prelude definitely has a better chance

my buddy has a 91 5.0, and my 93 ssr (h23) beats him. his is auto however, but it's almost not even a good race. we keep up off the line, but from about 40 mph on, all he ever sees is my bumper. the funny thing is that a nieghbor of mine has an 84 SVO (turbo 4 stang) slightly modded, and he kicks my ass up at the track.

I have ran against the new Mustang GTs from a stop before. The results are almost always the same: door to door, dead even.
