can someone please tell me how to remove the panel which has the a/c and radio behind it? 1996 xr7. i want to install my radio and as simple as this seems, i cant figure it out. will it be easy to install once i get the panel off? suggestions. installing a sony cdx mp4.

You don't have to take off the panel I don't think.
You need a set of radio tools. The radio should have 4 holes around the corners you place the tool into to release the clamps and it will come out. This is how it works for mine

Check this out, helped me out bigtime. BTW, you can cut the straight part of a shirt hanger and bend it to a U shape, ofcoarse you need to.

Ahh, the memories. When I changed my radio I used a hanger and wound up bending oner of the clips inside. Had to disassemble my whole dash to get it out. Wasn't that bad, had to remove the driver knee panel thing, and the instrument bezel to get to the screws to remove the center console.
