Experiment wax (Maguire's)

Well I had to polish some of my model for a small expo here, but didn't had anything (and forgot real modelling wax here) So I goes to my Garage and Found This: Meguiar's Deep Crystal System (3 Step System)

I tried it on a scrap model... worked.. Tried on a model that I don't usually expo.. wow impressive.. This stuff is incredible. It act like a compound and a Wax.. you get a terrific shiny. I put some on about 15 of my model and I have never seen them shiny like that. It's like giving model a coat of Future in 2 minutes.

It work on:
Automotive Paint
Duplicolor Clear
Krylon Clear
Testor Clear
Testor Paint
Tamiya Paint (Metalic, color and Pearl)

Just wanted to let you know guys. It's cheap and awesome !

(Beware, it act like a compound, so it will remove some paint when rubbing, not much, but don't rub too hard)

Yep and the cleaner wax works great to remove that real nasty orange peel

Re: Experiment wax (Maguire's)

After clearcoating, I've used Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze followed by their #26 Yellow Wax for years now and it really does an amazing job. I use it on all of my commission builds because I know that the models will be handled much more than I ever would and all of my customers rave about how easily fingerprints are removed with just a slight polishing with a flannel cloth. I have yet to use this "Deep Crystal" system but it might be worth a shot. ALL of Meguiar's products are superior quality!

Re: Experiment wax (Maguire's)

Thanks Eric for you expiriment! I was wondering on how well it fared with models. I once used a Meguiars wax(Dont know which type) on Testors enamel and it wiped off of the model. But never tried it on Tamiya TS lines. I will pick up some to make my models super shiny!
