Re: steering colum is lose

Do you have tilt steering? It sounds like the bushings are worn out where the wheel tilts or the latch is broken. Best fix is to just swap a column from a junked fiero - for info on parts check out www.kickhill.com/fiero.html

You can replace the internal parts but most of them are dealer only and taking apart the wheel and electronics to get at the tilt is a pain in the ass...

3Rd gen F body floor pans/camaro door skin (L)

Why is it I see so many "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers on the backs of cars made in Japan or Korea??????

Re: steering colum is lose

most times the problem is as simple as tightening up 4 small bolts behind the turn signal switch. not all that bad if you have the tools. remove wheel remove screws holding turn signal switch in and pull up out of the way. once you do this you can see 3 of the 4 small bolts or screws 7mm if i remember right just tighten those 3 and you should get it tight enough to be useable . if anything is broken you will have to get a replacement collum. good luck
