Re: just recently came back, but where is everyone?

I think it's alot like hooking a turbo up to your radiator...y'know, instead of getting an intercooler and all...

anyway good seeing at least one regular back.

Hey guys sorry to bring this up to the top but, I am not gone, I didn't leave the site. I have just been really, really busy lately and have had no time to log in. I have so much reading to do to catch up and I have an insane amount of PM's to reply to, so if anybody PM'D me I am tring to get back to ya, but I have soooooooo many, 41 to be exact. But most are stupid crap from ricer's like "waht is the best this and what is the best that" and that is all the info they have sent me, did not bother to tell me anything about their future plans for the car, or what they have done now etc etc.

Anyhow I am still around

I have thought many many times to leave this place, but something (not sure what) is keeping me here. It's very nice to see the veterans around, I think I'd leave if most of them did. This site just wouldn't be worth a damn without them.
kicker,

i understand why that would be annoying to you, because you know so much about cars, but don't forget about people like me that don't really know that much and come here to try to learn from professionals like you. I just recently joined the site, but its refreshing to see people with thousands of posts. To me it means there is a lot of knowledge floating around in here, and I am in the right place if I want to learn. To me that is the whole point of a forum, and without newbies to share your knowledge with, what fun would a forum about cars be?

I appreciate, and im sure all the others do to, all of your help you give here in the forum. I apologize in advance for any stupid questions i may ask, but thats the way most of us learn!

As for the Pm's good luck, I had some kid who kept sending them to me asking how to jack up a car, how to use a floor jack etc etc, wanted to tell him, simple put the jack in the garage then take the car to a mechanic!

Re: just recently came back, but where is everyone?

Kashi, the reason why so many "professionals" ie all the guys that have been around the forums and cars along time are sick of these kind of questions is because all that information has been covered hundreds if not thousands of times, and the only way someone is truley going to learn, is by searching and reading. this site tends to spoon feed more than others but i can see why people like kicker are tired of it, it gets old in a hurry.

Im glad to see your still around Whtteg, I havnt been much, ive been over at TI more than anything, how's the car going??

The new setup? Well it has not even started to get off the ground yet, ever sense the IRS rapped me for about 60% of the funds that were for the new setup, there has been a snow ball effect on the new setup. I honestly don't know when I will be able to get it finished, I am working 7 days a week right now and tring to get ready to move and about to get engaged. (Yes, it is true. So the car stuff will slow down more than likely )

Tsugsr I like TI alot more than AF for technical discussions because there are alot of very knowledgable members there and they don't baby people. But at the same time I like some of the laid back things on AF like the Off Topic forums etc.
