Have you removed it? Is it easy to get to? I heard some of these are hard to get to?

I have had min off several time ..the bolt on the right side is a piece of cake if you take the intake hose and filter housing assembly off and out of the way. one hose clamp and 2 wing bolts on top of the radiator) the other bolt can be removed with a wrench farley easy .the valve will come out between belt idler and the alternator with a little fens

DO NOT BLOCK off the EGR, restrict it... Blocking off can cause major issues with our motors... You probably don't need a new one, just pull the existing one and clean it with carb cleaner and a wire brush... To make the restrictor go here http://www.s10planet.com/tech_older_egr.htm this applies to all egr's up to 95 (even though it says 94) weather electronic or vaccume. Restricting will do the following for you

Better low end torque and reduced hesitation off the line

Increase of 1-2 mpg

Helps prevent carbon build up
