Re: What you tink?

i actually like it. front needs some development. but i love the profile of it. very odd. yet it works.

your 3/4 front view does not really match the direct profile: the profile's front/hood region is verrrryyy loooonnnngggg. the 3/4's view, even with the foreshortening of perspective, is too short compared to the profile.

nonetheless, your drawings and concept are pretty cool. you draw very well.

Re: What you tink?

gams, fix the bottom of the front glass. it cuts into the hood in a funny way. add mirrors and maybe front blinkers or fogs on the front fascia. indicate what is going on inside the grille and wheels.

your elipses are incredible. A+. however, fix the far side wheels, the sliver of the wheels that are seen from under the car. they are incorrect. the arcs of the tires terminate too quickly into the ground contact patches making them look too blocky. and they are too "close," foreshortened-wise, to the near-to-the-viewer wheels: see how your car is not firmly planted on the ground? and see how it makes the body of the car look like it is bent or curving upwards? the rear of the car is curled up looking, eventhough it really is not.

this can be fixed if you repair your incorrect wheels seen from under the car, and then re-establish them, plus establish a drop-shadow.

also, you should be able to see a sliver of the passenger's side headlamp, but on your sketch this is not represented. yet.

overall, good job.

Re: What you tink?

gams, refer to your own 3/4 profile drawing of the first car you posted. you did the passenger's side wheels more correctly there, insofar as how they are spaced out width-wise. they still look a bit blocky, though. do not so abruptly terminate the arcs into the contact patches. i know this can be difficult, as the effect is subtle. but i know you can do it.

Re: What you tink?

bonzelite, thanks for your post. It's very helpful. Im gonna make the changes and post the updated pic here probably tomorrow, it's really late of here so i'll be goin to bed in a bit.
Anyways, more comments are welcome. I just need to know if i'm heading in the right direction for todays car designs.

Thanks again to everyone for contributing in this thread.
