Who's collecting Studio27 kits?
Someone here who's collecting Studio27 kits?
I just bought The Bigazzi kit and The Marlboro car. They told me those kits are limited to 100 pieces. Is this true? thanks |

No, they are not limited to 100 pieces, the current production run is limited to 100 pieces.
The Marlboro car isn't included in that as far as I know though, only the longtails. BTW, I just got the Profil24 Gulf kit, it's better than the St27 kit, it even has engine detail!

Re: Who's collecting Studio27 kits?
The Marlboro car was re-released so it was a second run. The Bigazzi kits were just recently discontinued and they were on sale for quite some time as well as the 96 Gulf. The Bigazzi cars have the wrong headlights for Le Mans. The latest re-leases were only 97 and 98 cars. Basically they put different decals in for the 2 98 car versions. The first run was a better deal, the rims were aluminum, this run has cast white metal rims.
I just got lucky and landed a Modelers Lark Mclaren. Which is where studio 27 got the masters for both kits (96 & 97). The profil is a better more accurate model, but you have conversions to make for it to be a 96. The best thing would be a Cesar set of decals for the profil kit. I don't know what level of realism you want, but S27 really dropped the ball on these kits. The decals are wrong, the body is wrong and for the price it really is a bad investment. But if it's the only game in towm, you gotta play! |
