For a '67 imperial eh....

Your info is very vague. Is it in good shape? How many miles? What engine is in it? What's the tranny (2 speed - 5 speed)? Does the guy/gal have all the service records? Tires new/worn? Ever been in an accident? Does he owe any money on it?

Find out the answer to these questions and we should be able to help you more. As far as 4 grand, i think it's high myself. The information about the cars, go to www.caranddriver.com and go into their achives and find out what they said about the car when it was new.

Then go to a local book store and find a book called 'buying a classic'...it's a version of the lemon-aide books if i remember right. It'll tell you things to look for as far as major problems with the car (if any) and you can find out if they've been done.

Try posting this is AF General instead of the non-specific section and you may get more info. That's all i've got for you buddy, good luck!
