Lexus VS Others

Ok...here is one that boggles my mind.

I'm finally in a position to by a NICE car!

I've been driving a 1995 Plain Honda Civic since 1995. Roller windows, no power steering, simple plain no frills. Needless to say it's time!

I've looked at the Altima, the Maxxima, the Accord, and Toyota. With these cars I will accept nothing less than FULLY LOADED!!! Leather, premium sound, electric EVERYTHING...FULLY loaded!

When I search these cars fully loaded as above, I'm finding the average price to end up being right at about 29K - 30K.

My question is this. WHY buy one of those for that price when I can buy a Lexus for 31K or less if I know what I'm doing etc...?????

1. The Lexus blows all the above cars away! (my opinion of course)
2. The Lexus comes STANDARD with all I want
3. The Lexus holds its value better and longer

Is there a catch I'm missing?????????????

Thank you!

Re: Lexus VS Others

You can get the Altima, Accord, and Camry new with all that stuff for about $25,000. If you want a truly luxurious, though, go with the Lexus. The ES 330 and IS 300 are the cheapest models, the ES 330 being more luxurious and the IS 300 being more sporty.

Re: Lexus VS Others

Depends how much you can talk them down. I believe leather seats are an option on the ES 330, but most of the other good stuff is standard. You can probably get an ES 330 w/ leather seats for 32K, less if you're good at talking them down.

dude quit pushing your bmw crap. every post your in you say buy bmw. he wants a lexus, and they are alot more luxurious for that price range. the bmw's in that range have horribly firm seats, which is good if your into racing, but for luxury go with lexus.

The ES300 is an EXTEMELY boring car! Drive one before you buy. kick the pedal down, you get nice sound but sooo quiet. My accord is louder than my brothers ES. Can you really get a new one for 30K? I kinda doubt it. Unless the economy is that horrific right now.

Good luck
Try before you buy

Re: Lexus VS Others

Get an IS 300 instead of an ES 330. It's cheaper and much more entertaining to drive.
