Angry Wheel Bearing

I have a 1995 neon needs some work. I get a grinding noise in the front when driving down the road when I turn to the left it goes away and when turning to the right it gets louder. Can someone tell me which side wheel bearing to replace in this case.

Thanks In Advaned

Re: Wheel Bearing

go to your local walmart and drive around with your head out of the window along with your girl doing the same .then you should know which side. if its a cluncking noise chances are it the cv joint. do not park ....go fix your car.

Thanks but that will not work. Because we know that a clunking noise is a cv joint and a grinding noise is a wheel bearing but what were asking is that when you load a bearing dose it get quieter or noisier that will tell us what side it is. I believe this would make it the left side even though it sounds like the noise is coming from the right side.

Re: Wheel Bearing

It really does sound like a cv problem, but take you hub caps off the front, after a short drive and a few turns, touch your bearing bolt on each side. Some times when a wheel bearing starts to fail it will be much hotter. Best of luck

Re: Wheel Bearing

Trust me, the pleasures mine. It sure is nice to be right. Keep in touch if you see my input.I'm always open to advice having a family of nine, plus outlaws expecting me to fix everything. Wayne Canada
