Quick Question..

I've already installed an aftermarket H/U for my 96 Civic Coupe using the Metra wiring harness to bypass keyless entry. Now my friend wants me to help him in install one that he bought, it's a 98 Civic Sedan (4dr) LX. So ok, I went to metraonline.com to see to make sure it works with his car (because it's supposed to be 96-98 models that you need the special wiring harness).

After checking out Metra Online I see that it's compatible with 96-98 Coupe, 96-98 Hatchback, and 96-97 Sedan, his is a 98. (http://www.metraonline.com/product.aspx?sku=70-1720T)

If all comes to worse, I think I'm going to tell him to buy the special wiring harness and the regular wiring harness and if I see that green plug (dome and keyless entry) I'll have him use the special metra wiring harness for keyless entry bypass, if I don't then I'll just do the installation with the regular wiring harness and he can take whichever one back. Instead of crimping I'm going to solder the wires together.
