just look on ebay they always have tem. You can always find high and low end coilover kits. I believe that the suspention is the same on 92-95 civics as del sols but i could be wrong.

Cheap coilovers
Don't buy the cheap coilover unless you like going down the road sounding like someone getting busy on an old matress. I had a set of ractive coilovers on my 97 sol. They were very noise plus one of the spring perches was seized up from road dust. I recommend spending the extra money on true coilovers or at minimum get the Ground Control Coilovers.

Re: coilover kit
Tein and various other companies make coilovers or springs and struts for our cars. Just have to shop around. And as west30capt said, don't buy the cheap stuff. A quality suspension setup will run you around $1,000 give or take a bit depending on what you buy specifically. If you want a quality setup, be prepared to pay. You'll regret the cheap stuff.

Tein suspension
You can actually get a set of Basic Tein Suspension for about $700 plus install if you can't do it your self... Especially for people like us who can't drop a "G" on a set of coilovers...
I had a set of ground controls for my old SE-R and they tended to make noise if you hit pot holes or bumps... trust me its the same as paying for a set of shocks around $400 plus sleeve coil overs ( ground control or cheaper versions $100- $399... so your basically looking at the same price for a basic REAL coil over system.. plus you dont have to worry everytime you hit something hard if the sleeve coilover is still on the perch properly... |
