SI motor wants to die

my 86 SI motor wants to die when i give it jsut a little bit of gas... any clue what could cause this?

could be a vacume hose......could be electric problems......what kind of "wants to die" is it???

Here are a couple of things to check:

Air filter
Timing, coil, spark plugs, plug wires, etc.
Throttle position sensor
Fuel filter
Fuel pressure (bad fuel pump?)

Anyway, thats where I'd start

well i've already fully went through and replaced all of the ignintion components sparkplus,wires, distributer rotor and cap, coil and wire.

i do know however that my Throttle position sensor is bad.

could too high of a fuel pressure cause this?
my return line is restricted in size due to the fact of the motor being swapped into a 1500s hatch back with a smaller return line. its about the same size as the vent line.

air filter is good...
fuel filter is good...

not sure what the timing is set at right now....

not sure what the timing is supposed to be set at quite yet.

does anybody have a throttle position sensor that they will sell me that is still good? or a throttle body?
