Compression Test...
Hey all, I just did a compression test on my engine today.. did it cold ( I am going to check warm next time to see if there is a differance) but this is my first time trying,, the book said to crank for atleast 5 compression strokes and do teh same number on each cylender. So I did 5 on each Cylender,,, I got the following for resules (3 trys per cyl. the avg. is given)
145 147 148 140 * 151 140 * Please note both cylenders where I got 140 were being difficult I dont done believed were seal;ed perfect due to a harshly warn thread over time,, odds are overtorqing. Anyway the car is an 88 Turbo,, so since the turbo was not working I believe the comrpession should be lower eh? Anyway I live in Canada and the odometer says she has 315,000 KM's which would be roughly 197,000 Miles Any comments would be greatly appreciated
