fiero exhaust and new chip

i just put a headpipe from the fiero store on my car. i highly recommend you put one on your fiero if your states emmisions laws allow. its still got that nice rumble but its louder and realllllyyyy throaty when you stomp on it. also i want to get a new chip for it but i want to know how much is the hp difference. i wanna know before i spend 100 bucks or so on itand i cant find specs for the difference a new chip will make.

Re: fiero exhaust and new chip

DON'T GET THAT CHIP FROM THE FIERO STORE IT SUCKS. My friend put it in and then put 100 octane in (the chip calls for 93+) he said it ran slower. You have the head pipe so I don't know. just my 5 pennies

Re: fiero exhaust and new chip

hypertech is suppose to be top of the line chips. i dunno maybe your friend got a bad one or his car was messed up. ive had a k&n filter for awhile but i wasnt gettin anything out of it so i got an intake elbow off a later model fiero. the 85 had a really restrictive elbow on it. anyways the new elbow and the headpipe have really opened up the airflow and let the k&n work. i estimate at least 25 hp from those upgrades.
