visions of a dx hatch
is the major maintenance at 60k or 90k? i'm looking at a dx with 120k, thinking i can get the price a lil lower if it hasn't had 120k maintenance.
the ad also says 'never had any problems with the engine', don't know if that means they never bothered to take it in, or if no major mechanical work was needed. |

Re: visions of a dx hatch
If it's stock it probably means they haven't had any problems with it. If there is a "tick tick tick tick tick" sound while running, it needs a valve adjustment which will cost like $50-$100 at most. Stock DX's run relatively forever if regularly maintained.

Re: visions of a dx hatch
i have a 92 si. it didnt start having an big problems until 230k miles. right now i'm replacing the engine with one that only has 45k miles. in all honesty i could have just replaced the head but since i had the money now i thought i'd do it. for the most part, honda's are built to last a while. that and parts are cheap.
