87 body kit question
Would I somehow be able to mold this body kit to a 87 4 door civic?
http://www.andysautosport.com/Bodyki...a_88civic.html And if so how would I go about doing it? |

Re: 87 body kit question
It can be done, The 4G was a little wider than the 3g, and the rear bumper sides will need to be lenghtened as the sedan rear bumper is longer from the wheel well to the rear of the car than the hatchback.

How would you go about lengthening it?What tools would you use? I might just sell it, save up and either get a 4th generation civic or a Integra.

Re: 87 body kit question
to lengthen a fiberglass part you have to cut it, create some sort of backing that follows the profile of the part and lay in new fiberglass and resin. once it cures you will have to sand, grind and bondo to make it look like you never cut it in the first place.

How much do you think I will be able to get an 87 4 door civic for? It has a brand new engine in it and run fine just needs some body work...I'm seeing them go for a couple hundred but the new engine cost over a thousand. Would it be possible to sell it for around that much? thank you

Re: 87 body kit question
well in my local paper they are ranging from $2400-$2900 Canadian in good condition. a rebuilt engine is a good selling feature even if it needs body work.
