Should I get a Z32?

I finally got a damn job so now I can get a car. I figure I could afford something around $4000. So the 1st car I think about is my favorite, the Z32 300ZX. But one thing thats stopping me slightly is that old people tell me not to get one because of "maintence" and they do require 91 octane, and Im in the desert so 91 octane is about $2.50 a gallon . So what do you guys think, should I get a Z32 or settle for an integra?

Re: Should I get a Z32?

Dont ever mention an Acunta EVER again in here

Z32's are expensive, as daily drivers, and to maintain. If you are not mechanically or financially inclined... Dont get one!

I am pretty sure more of the people in here will agree there.

I had a very bad experience with my first Zed... Luckily my second one has been better to me. But if you feel like sticking your neck out and going for it... By all means, its your money!

Re: Should I get a Z32?

yes, 300zx isn't a very easy car to pay for. and you have to put 91 octane into it. i am making sacrifices for my car, so if you want to, you can make sacrifices too.

Re: Should I get a Z32?

It's also about $2.50 for 91+ octane gas around where I live. If you want to learn how to fix cars and stuff, maybe the Z is the right car for you. It would keep you fairly busy and you'll learn some stuff pretty quick. How about a 240sx? Those are fairly cheap and easy to fix. And also a fun project car if you're into that stuff.

DING DING DING COOOOOORRREEECT!

I literally took my entire 240sx Drift car appart... With no problem at all. Too bad shes somewhere in a junkyard now... Those wallls can be tricky

300ZedX's are a BIT tougher to mess with... Actually a LOT tougher to mess with. I wouldnt suggest LEARNING on a Zed... Maybe something a little bit easier... In my opinion.

Re: Should I get a Z32?

meh, I had a feeling that it wouldnt be to smart to get one. Oh well, I think Im going to keep it int he family and get a 240SX instead. Turbo the KA and see what happens. Oh yea, I liked 240's before drifting became big out here.

Re: Should I get a Z32?

I saw a Silvia in a magazine last night that went *194 MPH* in the bonniville salt flats, then went to a drag strip and ran 11s, then entered drifting comps. Very versitale cars, they are.

Good to hear ya got the alt fixed, freak.
